What Are the Classic Anxiety Attack Symptoms?

Many people that experience anxiety attacks for the first time are unaware and unprepared for the wave of symptoms that are about to sweep over them. Although most people are not going to look for the classic anxiety attack symptoms before they have the first anxiety attack, it is probably going to be one of the first things that they do after they experience one. The unfortunate thing is, many of the symptoms that are caused by anxiety attacks can mimic physical problems that are very serious. This can heighten your anxiety and without knowing what is going on, may actually cause a panic to be even worse.

Even once an individual understands the classic symptoms of anxiety attack, they're still going to have problems being able to convince themselves that what they are feeling is simply a side effect of the anxiety that they are experiencing. They may find themselves in the hospital on occasion or perhaps setting up doctors visits in order to rule out any physical problems that they may be having. Even though this is the case, however, being able to identify and understand the symptoms of a panic attack may be able to help you to deal a little bit more successfully with any anxiety that you may have.

Panic attack symptoms can really be broken down into two different sections, those that mimic physical problems and those that cause more of an emotional response. The physical problems that you may be experiencing can range anywhere from minor twitches and tremors to feeling as if you're having a heart attack. As a matter of fact, the feeling of a heart attack is probably one of the most classic symptoms that people with panic experience. The unfortunate thing is, it can be rather frightening and even though they may consider that they're only going through a panic attack, that is little comfort to them at that time.

Additional problems that you may be experiencing whatever you have a panic attack that mimic physical problems include headaches, insomnia, fatigue, a shortness of breath, dizziness or nausea, diarrhea, a pounding heart and frequent urination. These can be very frustrating, but fortunately they are not something that is going to be life threatening if it is anxiety that is causing them.

The mental anxiety attack symptoms that you may be experiencing can really vary from individual to individual. For the most part, it is a feeling that is overwhelming within you as if you are going to go crazy or lose overall control of your body. The panic that people feel sometimes seems as if it is coming from their deepest insides and that it is overwhelming them in a surge like fashion. You may also feel as if you're going to pass out or experience hot flashes, as well as beginning to hyperventilate. If you are experiencing these problems, it is a good idea to make sure that it is panic that you are feeling but unfortunately, it is difficult to tell the difference.
