Anxiety Attack Symptoms

Anxiety attacks are more common in today’s world then most people realize. In our fast pace world, bad diets, lack of exercise and high levels of anxiety and stress are more commonplace than ever before.

Anxiety attacks can often take place when your mind realizes there’s an imminent danger nearby or simply when no danger is detected or in an ordinary situation.

An anxiety attack can happen to a person without warning and often will happen in situations where other people are nearby. The symptoms of an anxiety attack usually start to come onto a person slowly and then gradually build into extreme feelings of fear and anxiety.

Usually an anxiety attack starts with a mild feeling of fear or anxiety. It’s like the symptoms or feelings of fear and anxiety start at the bottom of your stomach and work their way upwards throughout your body.  Over the course of a few seconds they gradually become stronger and stronger and now you begin to experience shortness of breath.

You start to feel as if you need to control your bodies breathing, because you feel the body is not doing its natural breathing cycle the way it should be. Then you begin to notice your hands start sweating and trembling. You start to feel tightness in your chest and a racing heartbeat. At this point a person will often become dizzy and experience trembling or shaking throughout his body.

Oftentimes people will experience feelings of unreality at this stage. Feelings like they are in a different dimension or looking at the world through an entirely different person. As this goes on the feelings of fear usually become more and more intense.

As the fear intensifies so does the body’s natural reaction to fear. People will often experience more of a shortness of breath, shaking or dizziness, and a faster heartbeat as the anxiety attack symptoms become stronger and stronger with time.

Also as the panic attack symptoms are happening to a person, they will usually experience a desire to run away from their location especially if other people are nearby. People won’t usually stay in one spot during a panic attack, but instead try to find somewhere they can be alone.

These anxiety attack symptoms usually range in time from a few minutes to an hour depending upon the person and the overall reaction to the panic attack symptoms.
